Here we will explore the life of the early Jewish community of Rome, and its evolution through the trials and vicissitudes of Roman life in the Middle Ages and Renaissance under the papacy.
We will visit the imposing synagogue overlooking the Tiber River and the historic Jewish Museum which recalls the faith and life of the Jewish community in Rome. We will also take a stroll over to the picturesque Tiber Island with its two ancient Roman bridges linking the ancient Jewish neighbourhoods of the Ghetto and Trastevere.
We specialise in small and private group tours in and around Rome, these include the Vatican and Sistine Chapel, all prices quoted include admission fees unless otherwise stated. The Vatican Tour excludes all admission fees and all tours benefit from being able to skip the lines and fully enjoy your time in Rome.
All of our guides are highly experienced with a minimum of 4 years’ experience and/or with the relevant art or history degree to ensure the best possible experience.
